The ProgressivTube Seasonal Solar System™ is designed to supply a significant percent of daily hot water heating requirements during spring, summer and fall. In late fall through early spring, the ProgressivTube is drained and isolated to prevent freezing. In the event of an unexpected freeze condition, the built-in Eaton Dole Freeze Valve (request this option) will provide limited protection.

During the cold, overcast winter months, the existing conventional heating system supplies hot water.
